My son and his wife have unfortunately had to bail out on Americade for lack of adequate vacation time. I canceled the room I had reserved for them for the entire week at The Studio Motel on Route 9L (across from the American Legion Hall). I offered to post its availability for the owner, Na'eem. Details: Room is next door to #32, in the new section of the motel. Room has two queen beds, is clean, large, and quite comfortable Three nights minimum Rate = $149/night

Pat - The Studio does get booked up for Americade, and if you stop in and talk to Na'eem during this year's 'cade, I'm sure he'll provide you with more info than I have available to me here. What I quoted above for minimum stays and prices are what I was told by one of the other management folks when I called to cancel Chris' room this weekend. I'm sure the rates change from year to year, but are still what I would consider reasonable for the quality of the rooms and proximity to the village.
As far as deposits are concerned, I usually give my credit card info to Na'eem around mid-March when he gets back to the village from his wintering-over spot... it's normally one night's room as a deposit for me... but then we have what I would consider a "longish-term relationship."
