Last I knew they were showing up elsewhere... maybe in Warrensburg, or maybe it was down in Q'bury, I forget. All I know is that they used to have some million-dollar showpieces parked where people could ogle them. Peterbilts and Kenworths -- built like cranes -- with custom interiors -- all for retrieval of eighteen-wheel machinery that had gone off-roading unintentionally. If you were there early enough, before they packed up their wares, the truck vendors had some neat stuff for sale in their kiosks.
That was the first place I saw "The Last Glue" demo'd and I still have a bunch of it -- lasting over 10 years now.
Yep! The tow trucks are truly amazing as the are painted, chromed and detailed like a 1950’s street rod but are 4 times the size. Chrome and custom work dozens of feet long on one truck with interiors to match. And as WC noted they used to be parked on the FWH grounds.
Sounds like they are still local so hope we get to check some out on Sunday.
